About Us

Each1 Teach1 of Arkansas is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through education, support, and sustainable practices. Founded in response to the growing need for accessible resources and knowledge, we focus on addressing food insecurity, vocational training, and community building. Our programs include urban gardening, peer-to-peer support, and vocational training, offering practical solutions to the challenges our communities face. By teaching people how to grow their own food, we aim to foster self-sufficiency and improve access to healthy, locally grown produce.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to thrive. We work closely with schools, community organizations, and local partners to create spaces where learning, growth, and collaboration flourish. Whether it’s through our youth agriculture programs, workshops, or peer support initiatives, we are committed to making a lasting impact. At Each1 Teach1, we know that by reaching one, we can teach many, helping to create stronger, more resilient communities for generations to come.

News & Updates

We’re excited to share the progress on our community garden and chicken coop project! Over the past few weeks, our team and volunteers have been hard at work clearing space, building garden beds, and preparing the area for new chickens we’ll be welcoming soon.
This initiative is part of our mission to promote food security, agricultural education, and healthy living in our community.
Throughout the month of May, we’ll continue working on the garden, planting seasonal crops, and setting up our compost area to help reduce waste and nourish the soil.
Stay tuned for photos, progress updates, and opportunities to get involved. We’re so proud of how far we’ve come and can’t wait to share this space with you.

Program Highlights:

Our Program Director, Kyndal Brown, attended the Food Systems Leadership Summit hosted by the Wallace Center at Winrock, held at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute. Alongside 25 other food system leaders, Kyndal explored challenges and solutions for Arkansas’ food systems. She’s excited to bring this valuable insight to our community garden projects and partnerships.

Congratulations:

We’re proud to announce that our founder, Larry is now a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist in Arkansas! We’re eager to see the impact he’ll continue to make in our community.
